Quote of the Day: Nomar’s First At-Bat @ Fenway

Nomar Garciaparra, upon the vocals of the Fenway broadcaster booming his name as he approached the plate, was bombasted with a welcome back hurrah I don’t think any Red Sox player has ever received in recent memory. He stood in awe at the cheers, taking it all in for about a good minute. You almost forgot that everyone was watching a baseball game.

After he is done gesturing back to the Fenway faithful, as he approaches the plate, Don Orsillo of NESN asks, ” How is he going to it ( after this )?”

Hilarious. Welcome back Nomaaa!
