I love this guy. Jamie Moyer can throw 76-81MPH for an entire game, and pitch a gem against some of the toughest hitters in the game. The Red Sox had him at one point, and we traded him away to Seattle, which since the trade, he has racked up 120+ wins.
No hard feelings, since we have gotten our act together. But he is an incredible character, a great professional, and has a great deal of love for the game ( The Scott Hatteberg story in Moneyball says enough ). Read Jayson Stark’s article on Moyer’s ride into the postseason, and sports history.
